About
The purpose of the Software Defined Networks Research Group (NERDS) is to provide a computational
environment and basic infrastructure to support the development of SDN applications. The laboratory
is funded by UFES and by development agencies such as CNPq and FAPES via research projects. The
laboratory is located in the UFES' Technological Center (CT-VI), rooms 102/104/106, occupying an
area of 174 m². It has adequate physical space and infrastructure for the development of cloud
computing research activities, virtualization and programmable datacenter networks.
Currently, NERDS collaborates in several research projects in scientific community, such as:
FUTEBOL; Towards Open, Programmable, and Software Defined DataCenter Networks; Scheduling of
Wireless Links for Data Collection in Sensor Networks. In addition to working on a technological
research project called NosFVeraTO, a Working Group funded by RNP.
